Besides traditional carols, sacred music, and treasured holiday classics, the program will feature Dan Forrest’s LUX: The Dawn from On High. Latin for “light,” LUX is a radiant five-movement work for chorus and orchestra that explores light in all its forms, from ancient chant and Scripture to poetry, joy, love, and deep peace. Following the performance of this stirring contemporary work, the evening continues with familiar Carols.
