What you send us

When you use our contact form, tip form or newsletter signup, we keep what you submit (for example your message, and your name and email if you give them) so we can read it and reply. Contact and tip messages are emailed to our news desk. To block spam we also store a scrambled code made from your internet address instead of the address itself.

Newsletter signups go to the email service we use to send our newsletter, which keeps your address and your subscription settings. You can unsubscribe at any time with the link in any email, or by emailing us.

Your light or dark mode choice

If you switch between light and dark mode, your choice is saved only in your own browser.

Who helps us run the site

We use trusted service providers to host and protect the site, deliver email and measure traffic. They handle information only to provide those services to us.

Children

HoCoFeed is a general news site and is not directed to children under 13. We do not knowingly collect information from children under 13. If you believe a child has sent us personal information, email us and we will delete it.
