Our 2026-27 season, Epic Works, showcases four remarkable large-scale compositions that demonstrate the depth, imagination, and expressive power of the wind band repertoire. Our second featured work is Percy Grainger’s In a Nutshell, the celebrated four-movement suite first performed in 1916. In just twenty minutes, Grainger captures the rhythmic vitality, folk-inspired melodies, and inventive orchestration that define his unmistakable compositional voice.
